his two footed challenege was the actions of a pub player, and he should have had a red

I agree with those who have said he was lucky to not get sent off for the challenge on Zenden - it was a rash tackle.

However i dont agree with those slating him for his reaction to being subsitituted. He is an all of nothing type of player and all he wanted to do was stay on the pitch and make and help the team turn the situation around. He is well aware that he has lost his place to Muamba recently and saw this game as his chance to impress.

Can't be bothered to read allof this thread, but the first ten or so posts will have you believe this only happens at Blues, and that it is a bad thing. Passion is what a lot of people have been calling for, they get passion, then they get all precious and complain. Ah well.

I thought Bruce was right to take him off becasue I could see another yellow card coming.  He had looked close to ti a few minutes before.  I don't think Bruce was questioning his contribution, but was just trying to keep 11 players on the picth.

Thats what I though, imo he was lucky to still be on the pitch anyway, Bruce couldnt afford to leave him on to pick up another booking.

What gets me is that our players are obviously lacking in discipline. Look at how professional Seb Larsson and Muamba are compared to our lads. If I remember rightly after Jonty chucked his teddy it was Sebastian who ran over to pick up the armband. They must realise that they can get away with it and so will continue to do so.

Bore off, the lot of you.

Players like Theirry Henry throw fits when he's scored 2, wants a hatrick and Wenger brings him off for Aliadiere.

Nafti throws a fit when his team are in a dog fight and losing, when he was our best player and playing very well.

Nafti should be starting this weekend. **thumbup

i thought nafti had a great game. the fans like him, hence the applause as he went down the tunnel. The tackle on zenden, when seen on tv, was very close, he about half a second late, thats all. If it was john terry that would be called just a mistimed tackle, but on here its a 'pub tackle'. Well done zenden for getting up quickly btw. If it wasnt for the emergence of muamba nafti and clemence may provide a good centre mid. Nafti has more discipline than muamba, who can be a bit naive (yes he's young) and lose his position easily. At least the players are showing they care. shame we didnt see this last season when we needed it, but hey. Roll on Barnsley

i understand Mehdi wanted to stay on but couldnt he see that Liverpool were beginning to completely overrun the midfield, and he was already booked, so wouldnt put a foot in whereas Muamba would of!

Nafti was excellent.

So you think he was excelent then? god he was rubbish, his passing was awful, his takling again over the top and should have been sent off

Welll to me shows your view of how football should be played.

Dunn did the same thing last year.

It's no big deal. It's good he wants to be on the pitch. Melchiot was too quick to go down. 'Ouch, I think I need 4 months rest'.

Sorry it's disrespectful and a poor example to others, both players and audience, he should apologise or pack his bags

he was gutted to come of course, but arnt we all. he plays hard for blues ,so good luck . we all suffer tantrums.

Gray tried to be fair, he's just having a bad time at the moment.

He can probably revive his career at a new club.

Bruce correctly wanted to change things.

Nafhti was not the worst player by a mile but he had a yellow card and was involved in the Sissoko injury. Not his fault but Webb the ref was looking for retribution.

Hard on Nafhti but the right decision by Bruce. Nafhti did not see the larger picture and took offence. Understandable but wrong!

He will be back. He is a great midfielder. KRO

Would be interesting to compare people's reactions to Nafti's petulance with that of DJ...

It appears that some are getting petulance mixed up with passion. You don't have to storm off like a five year old to display commitment, and Bruce has a habit of not nailing this pathetic behaviour. It will come back and bite his @rse imo. In fact it probably already has
